Julie's quilting business started in 1993. In 2005, after learning about the health hazards of the fabrics she was working with, she began her transition to organics and has become passionate about growing the US organic market. Julie is also committed to helping provide work for those who would otherwise be unemployed. All of her house ware products are made by Montagnard women who came to America as refugees from the mountains of Vietnam. She trains, educates, feeds and assists these women in a variety of ways. In addition to her quilts and house wares Fiberactive Organics also has recently launched a line of 100% made in the USA organic cotton threads. I feel blessed to call Julie my friend and colleague.
